Tony González is currently the Executive Director for the Fresno Community Health Improvement Partnership (FCHIP), a leading multi-sector network addressing health outcomes and inequities in Fresno County. In this position, Mr. González manages the Fresno HOPE HUB (Pathways Community HUB InstituteSM Model) focused on synchronizing 7 care coordination agencies, local resources, and empowering Community Health Workers to mitigate health disparities.
Before joining the FCHIP Team, Mr. González spearheaded various initiatives aimed at enhancing health plan member engagement, improving provider performance, and developing the health plan’s CalAIM provider network. He also conducted extensive training for Promotores and healthcare providers covering a wide range of topics essential for delivering high-quality care.
Mr. González has played a pivotal role in shaping healthcare policy and standards as a member of the NCQA Health Equity Advisory Committee, contributing to the development of the NCQA 2023 Standards and Guidelines for Health Equity Accreditation Plus.
Mr. González earned his MPH from California State University, Fresno. Beyond his professional achievements, he is also an Ironman Triathlete, demonstrating his commitment to wellness and resilience.
