Rhonda serves as the HIE Workflow Specialist for KONZA National Network, focusing on enhancing interoperability across the entire healthcare spectrum. She collaborates with healthcare providers—including hospitals, clinics, and public and behavioral health stakeholders—to improve data capture, analysis, interoperability, and the use of Health IT to improve outcomes. With over five years at KONZA, Rhonda is also the interoperability chair for the Kansas Healthcare Information Management Systems Society and collaborates with various healthcare organizations as a subject matter expert.
Rhonda earned her BSN in 1996 and has been an RN for over twenty-eight years. She has held diverse roles for Critical Access Health Systems, ranging from bedside nursing in Med-Surg, ER, OB, Outpatient, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Swing Bed, and Case Management to positions as a nurse manager, clinical IT analyst, and Chief Nursing Officer. In 2018, she earned an MBA to focus on bridging the gap between clinicians and Health IT to improve patient care and satisfaction. Throughout her career, Rhonda has been actively involved in quality improvement initiatives, emphasizing workflow analysis and its impact on outcome success.
