A recognized health technology executive, physician, and epidemiologist, Dr. Sheares is the Vice President of Quality Sciences at NCQA where she leads the generation of content for the HEDIS measure set and other metrics created by and stewarded by our organization. Prior to joining NCQA in 2024, Dr. Sheares was a senior-level executive with the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), a physician-led contracting firm within Yale New Haven Health. CORE serves clients including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Systems, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, private Medicare Advantage payers, and large health systems. Dr. Sheares leads our strategic content development projects including perinatal quality, primary care and prevention content for the new Advanced Primary Care product, behavioral health, health equity, chronic condition and cancer care. She leads several collaborative inter-departmental projects focused on advancing quality content for new and in-market products.
