Anne Smith is an Assistant Vice President in Measure Architecture at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Anne started at NCQA in 2000 to launch the Measure Certification program which validates the quality measure logic an organization uses to calculate measure results. Anne led the efforts to digitalize the first HEDIS measures. Currently, Anne leads the technical team that updates the electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM) used in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) programs. She also oversees the annual production of the digital HEDIS measure packages. Anne holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Olaf College and a Masters in Health Administration with an emphasis in Health Informatics from the University of Phoenix. Anne was in the inaugural class of AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professionals (ACHIP).
