The shift toward virtual and hybrid care has opened new doors for delivering more accessible, patient-centered healthcare—but it has also raised important questions about quality, consistency, and accountability. This presentation will explore how thoughtfully designed virtual care programs can improve access to care, close persistent gaps in preventive screenings, and drive better health outcomes at scale. Through the lens of Everly Health’s virtual care model, attendees will learn how to design and implement virtual programs that do more than check boxes—they create meaningful connections with patients and meet them where they are. We will walk through real-world examples of how virtual services have been successfully integrated into population health strategies for both commercial and government payers, with a focus on preventive care areas such as colorectal cancer screening, diabetes management, and kidney health. The session will highlight how credentialing standards, like those developed by NCQA, play a pivotal role in establishing the foundation for safe, equitable, and high-quality virtual care delivery. Everly Health was an early participant in NCQA’s Virtual Care Accreditation pilot, and we’ll share how that framework helped shape our operations and enabled us to scale trusted services with measurable impact. Key topics will include how virtual care can: Improve access for hard-to-reach populations Close critical HEDIS-related care gaps through proactive outreach and at-home diagnostics Enable timely follow-up through focused virtual visits and care coordination Reduce barriers for patients through flexible, digital-first engagement We’ll also discuss key lessons learned from scaling virtual services across diverse populations—what’s worked, what hasn’t, and how to pivot quickly while still prioritizing patient outcomes. By combining clinical integrity, thoughtful technology, and member-centric workflows, virtual care can not only expand access but also strengthen the overall quality of care delivery. This session is designed for health plans, providers, policymakers, and health IT leaders who are looking for practical, replicable strategies to bring virtual care to life in a way that supports long-term sustainability, aligns with credentialing standards, and creates real value for patients and the healthcare system.
