Amena Keshawarz, PhD, MPH is an Applied Research Scientist in the Chronic Conditions Center at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Dr. Keshawarz is an experienced health services researcher and epidemiologist, and her work primarily focuses on measure development and the incorporation of health equity in quality measurement and healthcare delivery. She completed her doctoral training in epidemiology at the University of Colorado, where her research focused on sex differences in cardiovascular disease and the cardiovascular complications of type 1 diabetes, and then postdoctoral training in genetic epidemiology with the Framingham Heart Study.
