Stacy Grundy is the Director of Quality Sciences Innovation at NCQA. A dedicated rural health practitioner and researcher focused on improving healthcare access and quality for underserved communities, with expertise in health systems integration, Dr. Grundy has led public health strategies that enhance patient outcomes, provider efficiency, and overall healthcare system performance.
Formerly as the Interim Director and Research Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (SIUSOM), Dr. Grundy directed SIUSOM's COVID-19 Pandemic Health Worker Program across 66 counties and played a key role in developing recommendations for the Illinois Healthcare Transformation Plan, which informed legislation creating a $150 million fund for quality-of-care services. Dr. Grundy holds a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) from the University of South Florida, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, an Institute of Medicine-Chicago Billings Fellow, a 2022 Erikson Institute Executive Fellow, and a 2020-2021 Institute for Translational Research Education in Adolescent Drug Abuse Scholar.
