Ann Mond Johnson is CEO of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), overseeing the only association focused completely on advancing the adoption of technology-enabled healthcare, broadly defined to include synchronous and asynchronous interactions and remote monitoring, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies enabling many of these services. The ATA’s diverse membership includes healthcare delivery systems, academic medical centers, direct to consumer companies, retailers, technology solution providers and payers, as well as partner organizations and alliances, all of whom use technology enabled services to deliver healthcare that is safe and effective.

Ann is recognized internationally as an industry thought leader, a pioneer in consumerism in healthcare and a subject matter expert, leading efforts to transform healthcare delivery by establishing virtually delivered care as an accepted modality of healthcare, enabling omnichannel care. Under her direction, the ATA is focused on federal and state policy initiatives to ensure permanent access to telehealth services. She has also galvanized key industry leaders to advance a framework that addresses disparities using telehealth so that everyone has access to safe, effective, and appropriate care when and where they need it.

Ann has been a pioneer in healthcare for more than two decades, as both an entrepreneur and executive leader. She has launched and built innovative companies that leverage data, decision support tools and digital apps to make the healthcare experience better for consumers. Ann was inducted in the Chicago Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2016. And in 2020, she was recognized by Modern Healthcare magazine on their 100 Most Influential list.
