Djinge Lindsay, MD, MPH serves as the Chief Medical Officer for the Maryland Department of Health. In this role, Dr. Lindsay leads the Office of Care Transformation, encompassing Maryland’s value-based advanced primary care programs and the Medicaid clinical leadership team, and supports the Secretary of Health in leading and coordinating clinical resources within MDH.
Dr. Lindsay has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and population health management, with a focus on designing systems to drive quality, value and equity for improved health and well-being across populations.  Her previous roles include the inaugural Director of Public Health at CareFirst, developing and integrating a public health infrastructure into business operations and strategy; Medical Director with a DC-based Medicaid managed care organization; Deputy Director for DC Health’s Community Health Administration, and providing primary care for historically underserved populations in DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Dr. Lindsay is a board-certified family physician and holds a Doctor of Medicine from the George Washington University School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science from Howard University.
