Dr. Megan Priolo serves as VP & Executive Director of CRISP Maryland. In this role, Dr. Priolo is responsible for leading the Health Information Exchange (HIE) work within the state of Maryland. This includes leadership of Maryland specific HIE operations, public health projects, population health reporting, outreach, and program administration. Dr. Priolo oversees daily operations and management of CRISP Maryland to ensure the HIE work is successful, cost efficient, and aligned with Maryland stakeholder priorities.
Prior to joining CRISP, she served as Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Baltimore Health Alliance at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Priolo led Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiatives such as care management, care coordination, behavioral health, quality reporting, analytics, population health, and community physician EHR implementation.
She has also worked at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a policy analyst. At CMS, Dr. Priolo focused on development of payment policy related to graduate medical education and long-term acute care hospitals.
Dr. Priolo holds a BA in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She holds both an MHS in Health Finance and Management and a DrPH in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She currently serves as adjunct faculty and Co-Director of the Master of Applied Science (MAS) in Population Health Management program at the John Hopkins School Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Priolo sits on the board of the Maryland chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
