Mark Stimson is a leader in digital accessibility with a passion in making healthcare and wellness fully inclusive using technology. With 25 years of digital accessibility experience and a doctorate in cognitive psychology, Mark strives to reduce health disparities for persons with disabilities using digital innovation. Mark has been leading the digital accessibility effort at Kaiser Permanente for 14 years and is currently the Director for the Digital Accessibility Program. His team coordinates the accessibility effort between designers, developers, testers, procurement, legal, and ADA coordinators. Mark’s philosophy of leadership is to make it easy to do the right thing and make accessibility a part of everyone’s role through education, policy, and process. Mark lives in San Mateo, California with his wife, son, and two cats, where he enjoys swimming, bicycling, listening to alternative music, and going for long walks.
