Digital technologies are revolutionizing health care, but even well-meaning innovations can inadvertently perpetuate inequities. To tackle this issue, AHRQ, in partnership with Johns Hopkins University and NCQA, has crafted the Digital Healthcare Equity Framework (DHEF). This evidence- and consensus-based framework ensures health equity is a core consideration throughout the digital health care lifecycle. The DHEF and its accompanying Implementation Guide provide a holistic approach to advancing health equity within the digital domain, aiming to reduce disparities and promote equitable health care for all.
This session will delve into the Practical Implementation Guide designed to facilitate the adoption and application of the DHEF. Participants will learn how to incorporate feedback loops and assessments to monitor the impact of digital technologies on care processes, equity, and patient experiences.
