Carin is an effective, strategic leader responsible for the planning and oversight of accreditation, performance improvement, health equity, and member experience at Carelon Behavioral Health. She and her team use industry benchmarks to assess the performance of clinical programs and our provider network to improve care delivery. Carin also leads the development and implementation of the quality management blueprint. Prior to her current role as Staff Vice President of Quality and Accreditation, she served as Vice President, Clinical Quality where she was responsible for clinical quality and member safety across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Carelon Behavioral Health, Carin held several quality-focused roles with Centene Corporation, Magellan Health Services, and the New York State Office of Mental Health. She has also served her community through her work as a mental health/substance use therapist working in inpatient, outpatient, and crisis settings.
Carin holds a Master of Science in counseling psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Alfred University. She’s also a licensed mental health counselor and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality®.
