The Health Innovation Summit is NCQA’s annual gathering of C-level decision-makers and influential representatives from some of America’s largest health plans and health networks. The event focuses on all aspects of health care quality, including digital solutions, health equity, and value-based care. The summit aims to connect and inspire quality-minded stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of quality health care. Patient-centered medicine is at the core of the curriculum.
The Health Innovation Summit will feature thought-provoking speakers, one-of-a-kind education and an exhibitor pavilion showcasing the latest innovations. Over 1,500 attendees are expected, including representatives from payers, providers, health IT and policymakers. The event fosters engagement around data solutions and next-generation technologies to improve health care quality.
Proposals are reviewed by the NCQA Health Innovation Summit Steering Committee based on alignment with learner needs, health care quality priorities, and past evaluation results. Selected presentations should focus on best practices, case studies, and health care quality innovations.
Final selections are based on the score and merit of each proposal, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Submitters will be notified when their proposal is accepted from April 20.
- If a proposal is not selected, the submitter will be notified after all presentation slots have been filled.
- If a proposal is not selected for a live session at the summit, NCQA may give the submitter the opportunity to be considered for another NCQA educational event.
Yes. The Health Innovation Summit is an in-person event taking place in San Diego, CA.
NCQA recommends that all attendees comply with current travel guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
NCQA is committed to adhering to all federal and state laws, and closely monitors federal, state and local government guidelines for ongoing concerns related to COVID-19 as well as other public health concerns. The safety of our staff, speakers and guests is our top priority. More information on health and safety protocols will be provided closer to the event, as needed to address local public health requirements and any prevailing public health guidelines. Attendees should recognize and accept the inherent risk in attending events in person.
Accepted speakers will receive discounted registration of $1,760 (20% off the General Attendee Rate) to the Summit.
Accepted speakers are required to complete:
- An NCQA Disclosure Form.
- An NCQA Letter of Agreement.
- The registration process. Accepted speakers will receive discounted registration of $1,760 (20% off the General Attendee Rate) to the Summit.
- Accepted speakers will be assigned to an NCQA track lead who will assist with presentation and event logistics.
- Presentation deadline dates, guidelines and requirements will be sent to accepted speakers upon their acceptance.
- Accepted speakers must use the NCQA-provided template for their presentation, and may not modify the template’s branding.
- An accepted speaker who changes employment before the summit must notify NCQA immediately. NCQA will determine whether there is a conflict of interest and if there is a need to decline the presentation due to the change of employment.
- If presentation content references a submitter/speaker’s previous employer, the submitter/speaker must receive permission (from an authorized employee at the previous organization) to speak on behalf of the organization. Documentation of permission must be provided to NCQA.
- Speakers must agree to accept the assigned agenda date and time for their session.
Concurrent sessions are selected through our standard submission process and are not available for sponsorship. - Submitters must ensure that materials and content used and/or presented do not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity, or the privacy rights of any individual.
- PHI must be removed or blocked from materials, including patient identifiers, and any patient data must be deidentified in accordance with HIPAA.
- Submitters represent and warrant that they have the right to use and/or present the materials and content, and agree that NCQA has the right to record their presentation and to publish and reproduce the recorded session (including the speaker’s image, as applicable) and associated materials.
- NCQA will own all rights, including copyright, in the program/course recording and materials, including, but not limited to, faculty talking points, PowerPoint slides, website postings, discussion board postings and resource documents. Reuse of any NCQA program/course-related material without NCQA’s express written permission is strictly prohibited.
Travel and accommodations are at the speaker’s expense. There is a special room rate of $339 per night (excluding taxes and fees). You will be given access to the room block once you register for the event. Room block reservations will be accepted until September 19, 2025, or until the block is sold out.
