Adrianna Nava, PhD, MPA, RN, FAAN, is an Applied Research Scientist at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), where she leads applied research and digital quality measure development focused on primary care delivery, prevention, and social drivers of health. She previously served as Chief Nurse of Quality and Systems Improvement at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. Dr. Nava served as President (2021–2024) of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN), where she led advocacy efforts to advance health equity, workforce safety, and culturally responsive care. She is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston, contributing to nursing workforce development in population health and evidence-based practice, and serves as Capstone Faculty for the Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership (SQIL) Program at Harvard Medical School. She holds an MPA (2020) from Harvard University; a PhD (2019) from the University of Massachusetts Boston; an MSN (2012) from the University of Pennsylvania; and a BSN (2009) from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. She was named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Emerging Healthcare Leaders in 2023.
