High-quality data is the foundation of effective HEDIS reporting and other quality programs. This session showcases the innovative work of Manifest MedEx (MX), California’s largest nonprofit health data network, exchanging over 38 million health records across a network of 18 health plans, 140+ hospitals and 2,600+ providers.
As an integral part of California’s health data infrastructure, MX is a leader in data quality improvement, participating as one of the original pilot organizations in NCQA’s Data Aggregator Validation program in 2020. MX has earned the NCQA Validated Stream designation for 4 consecutive years, helping 12 health plans reduce the burden of HEDIS reporting by leveraging validated data.
In 2023, MX partnered with Clinical Architecture to pilot a project focused on standardizing and mapping clinical codes and descriptions to further enhance data quality for health plans. This year, MX is integrating this mapping into the NCQA Data Aggregator Validation program, offering even greater benefits for participating organizations.
Hear directly from MX’s Chief Information Officer Jason Buckner, and Clinical Architecture’s Executive Vice President of Client Services Carol Macumber, as they share:
- Results from the pilot project.
- How standardized code mapping improves data accuracy.
- And how these advancements will support health plans in improving reporting processes and care outcomes.
