Name
Visualizing, Acting, and Improving Health Equity in a Leading Safety Net Hospital
Description

High-quality, equitable care starts with knowing where the gaps are. But data alone isn’t enough. At Grady Health, a major safety net hospital serving Atlanta’s historically underserved communities, the path to health equity begins with making data visible, comprehensible and actionable across clinical and operational teams.

Led by Dr. Yolanda Wimberly, Chief Health Equity Officer, this session highlights Grady’s collaboration with analytics and visualization experts at Sellers Dorsey to bring clarity and accountability to cancer care disparities. Using interactive dashboards and cross-functional collaboration, the team translated complex datasets into compelling stories to track patients’ journeys from screening through diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.

Attendees will learn how Grady built a replicable framework hospitals can use to engage teams, highlight blind spots and advance equity in care delivery.
