Dan has over four decades of HIT and 23 years health information exchange experience including his seven-year tenure as the founder and CEO of the HIE in San Diego, and as one of the founding employees of Availity, a company that successfully connected every provider with every health plan in the State of Florida. His leadership has propelled him to earning seats on the boards of 211 San Diego, Community Information Exchange San Diego, SHIEC, the national HIE industry association, and CAHIE, the California Association of HIEs, and the National Data Commission, a new, independent, not-for-profit HIE organization.
