Marisol Penuelas is the Clinic Operations Director at San Luis Walk-In Clinic, Inc., where she assists the President & CEO in leading quality improvement, behavioral health integration, and care transformation across a network of 17 rural clinics in Arizona. A nationally recognized advocate for patient-centered care, Marisol has served as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Certified Content Expert (CCE) with NCQA since 2015 and remains the only active CCE in Arizona. She continues to collaborate closely with NCQA to guide PCMH implementation and sustain quality standards across all clinic sites.
With over a decade of leadership in healthcare quality, operations, and analytics, Marisol has been instrumental in aligning clinical workflows with NCQA and CMS standards while integrating behavioral health, physical health, and social services into a unified, whole-person care model. She has overseen the rollout of scalable care systems through shared electronic health records (EHR), interdisciplinary care teams, and robust referral tracking tools—enhancing access and continuity of care in medically underserved communities.
Marisol holds a Business Analytics certification from the University of Arizona and is completing her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. She also directs executive analytics reporting, Health Plan Reporting, and quality oversight for multiple value-based contracts. Her work is grounded in a commitment to advancing equity, access, and innovation in rural and border health systems.
