Peter Fournier is the Head of Product at CloseKnit Health, where he and his team are supporting the transformation of CloseKnit from a 50-state virtual-forward practice to the largest hybrid, advanced primary care practice in the DMV region. Peter brings over 25 years of healthcare product management experience to his role, with deep expertise in quality improvement, care delivery innovation, value-based care initiatives, network development, technology integration, and regulatory product delivery.
Prior to CloseKnit, Peter served at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), where he oversaw product strategy, roadmap development, and product development for the Care Delivery portfolio, including quality improvement programs focusing on Primary Care, Specialist Care, Urgent Care, and Population Health Programs. He led teams developing breakthrough products addressing virtual primary care quality for providers, health plans, health systems, and ACOs. Before NCQA, Peter held senior product leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, where he was responsible for new product strategy, roadmap development, and product delivery across Commercial and Ancillary lines of business. Peter's healthcare product experience also includes product functions at Aetna, CVS, and UnitedHealthcare. At the NCQA Health Innovation Summit 2025, Peter will be leading the technology discussion on "Rebuilding the Foundation: Integrated, Hybrid Primary Care for Better Quality and Patient Experience," sharing practical insights on leveraging AI and technology integration to enhance care delivery while maintaining the essential human touch in primary care. Peter holds an MBA.
