Su Thet is a certified nurse midwife and women's health nurse practitioner with an extensive background in providing evidence based midwifery model of care to diverse low and high risk pregnancy populations. Her expertise lies in 20 years of providing care in all areas of labor & delivery, nursing leadership and education, and quality improvement in women's health. She is passionate about reducting maternal mortality and morbidity, increasing access to high risk perinatal care, providing nursing and midwifery education and mentorship, and delivering high quality equitable health care. She had worked on reducing nulliparous term singleton vertex (NTSV) cesarean rates in collaboration with California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC). She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Columbia University and Master and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach. She currently serves as a Director of Women's Health Nursing at AltaMed Health Services and Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University School of Nursing-DNP Midwifery Program.
