Smita Bhattacharya brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of population health, digital healthcare, and health equity. Over the past 11 years, she has focused on designing and delivering health engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes, particularly for historically marginalized communities. In this role, Smita leads content strategy. She applies a health equity lens to the development of digital health programs and crafts member journeys to optimize closing gaps in care. Her work integrates behavioral science, health literacy, accessibility standards, and multicultural competency tools to ensure that programs are inclusive, effective, and aligned with diverse population needs.
Prior to joining mPulse, Smita championed community-based health initiatives to improve health outcomes among underserved populations at cutting-edge research institutions, including Harvard. T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Michigan Medicine, and the National Institute of Drug Abuse. Her multidisciplinary background bridges science, community engagement, and digital innovation, making her a valuable contributor to forward-thinking health initiatives.
Smita holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral & Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.
