Ryan Heyborne, MD, MBA, FACEP, CPC is Humana’s National Medical Director for Medicare Risk Adjustment and Stars. Dr. Heyborne leads the Provider Support Team, which helps clinicians succeed in Medicare Advantage programs, and serves as Humana’s clinical expert for Medicare risk adjustment, Stars and interoperability.

Dr. Heyborne joined Humana in June of 2023. He has previously held Chief Medical Officer (CMO) positions for multiple organizations including a regional health system, an in-home health assessment network, and a health data-analytics company.

In addition, Dr. Heyborne is co-founder and current faculty for a first-of-its-kind master’s degree program in Population and Health Systems Management through Boise State University. He is board certified in emergency medicine and continues to provide patient care.
