Pete Fronte, MBA is the founder and President/CEO of Altura and has over 30 years of leadership experience in the healthcare and life science sectors.
Altura has provided millions of people with the option to participate in health studies, clinical trials, and patient-centered programs impacting areas such as cancer, mental health, diabetes, heart disease, COPD, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and reducing fall risk in older adults.
Pete has a passion for and continues to develop practical yet forward thinking initiatives and technology to support patient-centered and value-based care. This includes expanding clinical/health research access and diversity by engaging primary care and community settings, especially in underserved areas. Additionally, increasing preventive screening and improving the health of older adults by increasing physical activity and reducing fall risk are priorities.
These efforts include innovative technology such as Altura's HCP Studies™ research engagement platform (available in 23 countries) and the remote based UpRight™ mobility and fall prevention program for older adults.
Pete’s experience includes collaborating with medical groups, integrated health systems, FQHCs, health foundations, research organizations, and life science companies to design and implement innovative study awareness and patient activation projects. He is active in various healthcare and clinical research trade associations. Pete has served as an Institutional Review Board member for over 20 years and is a national speaker and writer on various healthcare and clinical research topics.
