Dr. Vivek Garg, MD, MBA, is the next President and CEO of NCQA. He will succeed current President and founder, Margaret E. O'Kane, effective January 5, 2026. 

Dr. Garg currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for CenterWell Senior Primary Care, part of Humana. As Chief Medical Officer, he focuses on scaling and deepening the model of care, clinical performance, patient-focused culture and clinical excellence in holistic, senior-focused primary care.  

Before joining the CenterWell, Dr. Garg served as Chief Medical Officer of CareMore and Aspire Health, an integrated healthcare delivery organization. He previously led CareMore’s growth and new markets organization, including business development, product development and national implementation of new products in Medicaid and home-based complex care. Previously, he worked as Director of Medical Operations at Oscar Health and Medical Director/PCP at One Medical Group, with a faculty appointment at Weill Cornell Medical School.

Dr. Vivek Garg earned his MD from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Science from Yale University. He trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and is board-certified.
