Chris McBrine is the Director of Quality within Population Health at Boston Medical Center Health System where she develops quality strategy and works with key stakeholders across all ACO partners to achieve quality goals. She is passionate about improving patient care through implementation of evidence-based practices and reducing disparities of care across patient populations. Prior to joining BMC in February of 2023, Chris was the Director of Quality for Covenant Health System; a multi-state healthcare system serving Southern New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. In her role there, she oversaw the quality teams at each facility and worked closely with leadership, providers, clinical and operational staff to establish a strong program for continuous improvement in their quality performance. In addition, Chris implemented multiple value-based programs that focused on payment reform for appropriateness of care instead of volume of care; including a virtual ACO and CMS’ Primary Care First.
Chris graduated Summa Cum Laude from Endicott College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). With more than twenty years experience in healthcare quality, Chris has worked extensively with value-based programs and Accountable Care Organizations within Massachusetts and surrounding states. Prior to her work in quality, Chris worked in various other roles within healthcare including physician billing and office management for a complete 360 view of practices’ roles and responsibilities.
