Dr. Marico Bryant Howe is Chief Quality and Informatics Officer at Community Health Centers of Arkansas, where she provides strategic leadership in quality improvement, informatics, value-based care, and performance initiatives that support community health centers statewide. She brings more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, public health, higher education, and information technology. Her prior leadership roles include Dean of the School of Mathematics, Sciences, and Allied Health at the University of Arkansas–Pulaski Technical College; Assistant Professor and Assessment Coordinator at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; Section Chief III for the Trauma Registry Unit at the Arkansas Department of Health; and Director of the Money Follows the Person Program and MMIS Operations Manager at the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
Dr. Howe holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, in conjunction with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University; and a B.S. in Computer Science from Bowie State University. Her work reflects a long-standing commitment to using data, analytics, and interdisciplinary collaboration to strengthen health systems, improve patient outcomes, and advance workforce and organizational excellence. In addition to her executive leadership, she has contributed as an educator, researcher, grant leader, and national service volunteer, including service with the Higher Learning Commission, the National Association of Community Health Centers, and several Arkansas-based civic and professional organizations.
