Don Trigg is a healthcare technology veteran with more than two decades of experience driving innovation and operational transformation. Before joining Veradigm, he served as CEO of apree health, where he leveraged data and technology to scale a multi-state, next-generation advanced primary care model. Prior to apree health, Don was President of healthcare IT innovator Cerner Corporation with over $5 billion in revenue. During his extended tenure, Trigg held roles of increasing revenue and strategic responsibility. As President, he led the electronic medical record, revenue cycle and strategic growth businesses, which included the high-growth health network and life sciences business units.

Trigg has an entrepreneurial passion for scaling early-stage companies, not only at apree health leading up to its acquisition by Elevance, but also natural language processing pioneer CodeRyte leading up to its acquisition by 3M. Finally, as Washington’s role in healthcare grows, Trigg has deep public policy experience, having spent a decade in Washington, D.C. serving in senior legislative and executive branch roles.

Trigg graduated from St. Lawrence University where he played varsity tennis. He is the co-author of The New Health Economy: Ground Rules for Leaders (Georgetown University Press). He is a member of the board of Nashville-based Mosai. He and his wife have three sons and are active in a set of philanthropic efforts focused on tackling the challenge of healthcare affordability.
