Steven Berkow leads efforts across InterSystems to ensure our technology and wrap-around services support plans, providers, and other customer organizations in advancing value-based care. InterSystems technology provides the needed connective tissue to transform disparate data into actionable information and currently powers applications managing health data for 220M+ US citizens. Steven brings to his role a passion for making health care better and over two decades of experience as an executive and GM for both plan and provider organizations. Prior to joining InterSystems, he launched SAAS-based businesses at OptumInsight, managed the Advisory Board’s best-practice memberships for health system executives, and oversaw Press Ganey’s solutions for improving clinician engagement and workforce productivity. He also worked in UnitedHealth Group’s Center for Health Care Research, where he continuously assessed population needs, emerging technologies, and value-based care initiatives to inform national and state-level policy. Steven holds a JD from Harvard Law School and started his career in healthcare representing safety-net providers in the greater New York City area.
