Dr. Keila Brown, DNP, AGNP-C, MHSA serves as Chief Medical Officer of Central Mississippi
Health Services, where she provides clinical leadership and oversight to support the delivery of
high-quality, patient-centered care. With more than 12 years of experience in community health,
Dr. Brown has dedicated her career to improving healthcare quality, strengthening clinical
operations, and advancing health outcomes in underserved communities.
Prior to joining Central Mississippi Health Services, Dr. Brown served as Chief Clinical Officer
of Mallory Community Health Center, where she oversaw clinical operations, quality
improvement initiatives, and the delivery of healthcare services throughout Holmes, Madison,
and Leflore Counties. Her leadership has focused on improving clinical quality, strengthening
healthcare delivery systems, and ensuring that patients in rural and underserved communities
have access to comprehensive, high-quality care.
A 2007 graduate of Tougaloo College, Dr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and
has continued to build upon that academic foundation throughout her career. She earned a Master
of Science in Health Services Administration from Mississippi College, as well as a Master of
Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at
Birmingham. A highly respected nurse practitioner and healthcare executive, Dr. Brown brings
both clinical expertise and administrative leadership to her work.
Her doctoral research, which examined the effectiveness of diabetes self-management education
in community health, was published in the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice. Her
professional accomplishments have also earned recognition at the local and national levels. In
2019, Dr. Brown received the Geiger Gibson Emerging Leader Award. She was honored with the
CEO Award at Mallory Community Health Center in both 2021 and 2023, and in 2024, she was
recognized as the C-Suite Executive MVP of the Year by Aledade, a physician-led Accountable
Care Organization.
Beyond healthcare, Dr. Brown is an entrepreneur, event specialist, and co-owner of Anna Grace
Event Design. Her creativity and passion for service extend into her extensive involvement in
civic, professional, and community organizations.
Dr. Brown has devoted countless hours to serving her community and currently serves as Fund
Development Vice President of the Junior League of Jackson. She is also the Immediate Past
President of the Madison County (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Incorporated, and is actively involved in numerous other community and civic organizations.
Despite her many professional and community accomplishments, Dr. Brown considers her faith
the foundation of her success. She is also the proud fur mom of Kash. Each day, she strives to
lead with purpose, compassion, and service, guided by the principle:
