Daniela Simpson is a seasoned healthcare analytics and data strategy expert with over two decades of experience driving insights and innovation across payer, provider, and consulting landscapes. Currently a Senior Consultant at Wakely Consulting Group, she supports health plans and government programs with data-driven strategies to enhance affordability, quality, and value in care delivery.
Known for translating complex data into actionable insights, Daniela brings a career-long commitment to improving care delivery through data-driven solutions. Her leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Transcarent, and now Wakely have focused on optimizing quality programs, advancing HEDIS performance, strengthening population health data strategies, and enabling the transition to value-based care. She has deep expertise in quality measurement operations, provider analytics, CMS interoperability rules, FHIR-based data exchange, and the transition to digital measurement.
Daniela holds both a Master of Arts in Political Science and an MBA from Arizona State University. She is a recognized expert in quality measurement, digital reporting, and healthcare data strategy, and is an active member of NCQA’s Digital Quality Implementation Collaborative (DQIC). Daniela lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking desert trails, traveling with her family, and exploring the future of healthcare innovation at the intersection of data, policy, and care delivery.
