Elizabeth Montgomery is the National Vice President of Clinical Practice Innovation and Population Health Programs at the National Kidney Foundation. A driving force behind CKDintercept™, she leads strategic initiatives to improve chronic kidney disease (CKD) detection and care in primary care settings. Elizabeth spearheaded the adoption of race-free CKD-EPI equations across U.S. laboratories. She developed key tools and measures—including the NKF CKD Change Package and two national CKD quality measures—and created the “Ending Disparities in CKD Leadership Summit” model to unite healthcare leaders in CKD care improvement. Her work has catalyzed transformation in over 50 health systems nationwide and earned the prestigious 2025 UNIVANTS Team of Achievement recognition for advancing kidney health outcomes in collaboration with Sanford Health.
