Daniel Tilden, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Co-Chair of the Rising T1DE Alliance, a national network advancing data-driven, patient-centered care for people with Type 1 Diabetes. His clinical and research work focuses on the development and testing of innovative care models which leverage diabetes technology and EHR data to enable proactive, collaborative care for people with diabetes.

Dr. Tilden has a unique background which provides key perspective on his work. He earned his MPH at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he also completed fellowships in both pediatric and adult endocrinology. In addition, he has work as a high school science teacher in rural North Carolina and is the founding Endocrinology provider for the Kansas Care Improvement Collaborative Diabetes Outreach program.  Dr. Tilden's clinical and research work focus on improving outcomes for people with diabetes with a particular focus on the care of young adults with T1D, as well as rural and underserved populations. He brings a distinctive background in education, implementation science, and mixed-methods research to his long-term goal of developing and disseminating innovative care models for young adults living with T1D.
