Doug Wolf is an IBD specialist and gastroenterologist at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, part of United Digestive. Dr. Wolf received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine, his residency in internal medicine at West Virginia University Hospital, and his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He formerly served as Assistant Professor of Medicine (Digestive Diseases) at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Wolf is currently Director of IBD Clinical Research at Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates.
Dr. Wolf has served in leadership positions in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. For the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, he has served as Chair and Co-Chair of the Professional Education Committee and is a past member of the National Scientific Advisory Committee (NSAC). Dr. Wolf is a recipient of the Rosenthal Award from the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, named after one of the Foundations co-Founders. ??and
Currently, Dr. Wolf focuses on clinical care and consultation of IBD patients and continues to be active in Phase 2 and Phase 3 IBD clinical trials. He has co-authored publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, the Annals of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, the American Journal of Gastroenterology, and in the IBD Journal, where he has also served as Section Editor.
Dr. Wolf has participated in 11 Team Challenge events, including 10 Half Marathons and the New York Marathon. For a number of summers, he has served as one of the camp doctors at Camp Oasis, a 6 day summer camp for children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
